Aman at Sea: A Matchless Experience on the Water

There is a certain feeling that comes with arriving at an Aman. The setting is beautiful, of course, but that's rarely the thing you notice first. It's the quiet, thoughtful design, the way everything seems to move at a slightly different pace. For more than three decades, Aman has built its reputation around that feeling, creating hotels and resorts where the experience is as much about how you feel as where you are.

Now, for the first time, that experience sets sail.

Amangati, which is Sanskrit for “peaceful motion,” is Aman's first yacht. Beginning in Spring 2027, she will set out on a series of voyages spanning the Mediterranean, Atlantic and Caribbean, with itineraries that move from the French Riviera and Italian coast to the Adriatic, Greek Islands, Turkey and beyond. Each journey offers a different perspective on life at sea, with the yacht providing a familiar sense of calm between destinations.

The ship's scale is intentionally intimate. With only 47 suites, a maximum of 94 guests and an industry-leading ratio of 2.2 crew members per guest, space and service are designed to feel personal rather than formal.

On board, the day is yours to shape. Mornings might begin at the Marina, afternoons unfold at the Aman Spa, and evenings stretch into dinner beneath the stars. And when the destination calls, two helicopter pads and four limousine tenders make exploring ashore part of the experience.

And perhaps that's the appeal: wherever the itinerary takes you, the feeling remains familiar. Amangati is, quite simply, Aman at sea.

SUITES | Where the Horizon Begins

Inspired by the simplicity of a Japanese ryokan, Amangati’s 47 suites are designed to feel quiet, spacious, and connected to the sea. High ceilings and full-height windows bring the horizon into the room, while private terraces create a natural place to step outside and take it all in.

Natural materials add warmth and texture throughout, reflecting the understated design Aman is known for. A dedicated Suite Host, 24-hour in-suite dining and discreet technology make settling in easy, whether you're spending the afternoon on your terrace or getting ready for dinner ashore.

AMAN SPA | Time to Slow Down

At the heart of Amangati is one of the most extensive wellbeing spaces at sea, bringing together traditional rituals, modern treatments and plenty of room to simply slow down.

A two-story Japanese serenity garden sits above the spa, while eight ocean-facing treatment suites open onto private terraces with alfresco whirlpool baths. Treatments draw from traditions including the banya and hammam, alongside contemporary therapies delivered by expert practitioners.

The bow-facing Fitness Studio leads to an open-air Yoga & Meditation Deck, where two shallow Sea Pools offer a quiet place to cool off and linger between classes. A full-service Beauty Lounge and dedicated Medi Spa round out the experience with beauty and advanced cosmetic treatments.

CULINARY | Let the Destination Set the Table

Dining aboard Amangati changes with the journey. Aman’s approach to food is rooted in simplicity and balance, with menus shaped by the season, the setting and the places the yacht visits along the way.

Four signature restaurants move between coastal Mediterranean cooking, Japanese traditions and the straightforward appeal of Aman Grill. There are also bars and lounges for everything from a morning coffee to a late-night drink, while the Private Dining Room offers a more intimate setting for gatherings of up to ten.

Restaurants

At Alira, Mediterranean-inspired dishes are served in a relaxed, open-air setting, with menus influenced by the destinations along the itinerary.

Hiori takes a more intimate approach, with chef-led teppanyaki shaped by Japanese tradition and precise technique. At Akari, traditional washoku and a signature omakase place seasonal Japanese ingredients at the center of the experience.

Aman Grill keeps things simple with prime meats and whole fish, accompanied by tableside rituals and sommelier-led wine pairings.

Bars & Lounges

The bars and lounges each have their own pace. The Jazz Club brings live music, aperitifs, and craft cocktails to an intimate room that opens onto a private terrace. Nearby, the Cigar Lounge offers hand-rolled cigars and rare spirits in a similarly secluded setting.

At The Bar at Aman Grill, smoke-forward cocktails, barrel-aged whiskies, aperitifs and nightcaps set the tone for the evening, while the Sake Bar focuses on a selection of artisanal Japanese sakes.

Outside, the Alira Pool Bar is the place for light dishes, chilled wines and craft cocktails. Just nearby, the Gelateria serves affogatos and handcrafted gelato in both classic and seasonal flavors.

MARINA | A Day by the Water

Some of the best days at sea don't require much of an itinerary. At the Marina, mornings and afternoons unfold around the water, whether that means heading out for an adventure or simply finding a quiet place to spend a few hours.

Two floating platforms open directly onto the sea, with water toys for everything from gentle exploration to more active pursuits. Two dedicated sport tenders make it easy to get out on the water, whether you're waterskiing or taking a leisurely boat ride.

Next to the Marina, Selora offers a quieter place to pause. Shaded terraces look out over the water, with refreshments during the day and a particularly good spot for a drink as the sun begins to set.

DESTINATIONS | See Where the Sea Takes You

Amangati’s inaugural 2027 season spans the Mediterranean, the Atlantic and the Caribbean. The itineraries bring together well-known ports and quieter places along the way, with the yacht itself providing a consistent sense of calm between destinations.

Days might begin somewhere completely new and end back on board, with dinner, a swim or an evening drink as the coastline disappears from view. It's a different way to travel: the destination changes, but the feeling stays familiar.
