Discover the Danube in Style with AmaMagna's Grand Dame

A journey aboard AmaMagna, an extraordinary vessel sailing exclusively on the Danube, transcends the ordinary. With a width twice that of a standard river cruise ship (say hello to extra space onboard!), this grand dame only charters the Danube, thanks to the river's accommodating wide locks.

Aboard AmaMagna, unsurpassed luxury and comfort await. Four world-class restaurants cater to every culinary preference while a fully-equipped gym and Zen Wellness Bar cater to wellness enthusiasts. An on-board theater room ensures entertainment is never far away. The Pickleball court, a first for any river cruise ship, invites those with a competitive streak. Golf aficionados can avail themselves of an additional Golf Package, offering access to premier golf courses. Suites, spanning up to 710 square feet with full balconies, add another dimension of luxury.

Three main itineraries grace the 2024 and 2025 calendars of AmaMagna: Magna on the Danube, Gems of Southeast Europe, and Grand Danube. Each offer a different glimpse into the regions, and each offer pre- and post-extensions, to allow you to dive deeper into some of these destinations. Ask about these options for extending your trip on land!

Magna on the Danube

A Symphony of Sights and Sounds

The "Magna on the Danube" itinerary, a 7-night voyage on the Upper Danube, indulges guests in awe-inspiring architecture, timeless music, breathtaking landscapes, and culinary delights. Specifically curated by Co-Founder Rudi Schreiner, the “Godfather of River Cruising,” this itinerary features epicurean experiences such as apricot brandy and chocolate tasting in Dürnstein and an exclusive wine festival in Spitz. Vienna, with its grand Schönbrunn Palace, offers a glimpse into bygone grandeur, while Budapest and Bratislava offer a vibrant mix of east and west.

Gems of Southeast Europe

A Tapestry of Cultures

The "Gems of Southeast Europe" itinerary, a 7-night voyage on the Lower Danube, provides a touch of history in Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, and Romania. Celtic fortifications, medieval towns, and grand cities blend seamlessly with the natural beauty of pastoral landscapes and the Danube’s famed Iron Gates. Nature lovers can enjoy a bike ride through Belgrade’s sprawling Kalemegdan Park while wine connoisseurs can taste history from centuries-old wine-growing hills in Ilok.

Grand Danube

A Majestic Journey Through Time

The "Grand Danube" itinerary, a 14-night journey combining the Upper and Lower Danube, takes guests on paths forged by conquerors, crusaders, and kings. From Romania to Germany, legends of all kinds wait to be uncovered — including the Rock-Hewn Churches of Ivanovo with well-preserved medieval frescos, and the 14th-century Bran Castle, once home to Vlad the Impaler, who inspired Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
