The Story
Created in 1928 by Edgar “Commodore” and his wife, Lutie Perry, the Estate began as a European-inspired oasis in the middle of Austin. It was a place to entertain, inspire, and enjoy the simple pleasures in life. Now, this architectural treasure has been transformed through the eyes of renowned designer, Ken Fulk, reinvented and expanded as a destination city retreat and private club. Everywhere you turn is a feast for the eyes - from the collection of heirloom vintage pieces to the colorful eye-catching wallpapers, the English garden, the joyful white and yellow poolside umbrellas, intriguing art, and majestic oak trees.

Located just north of the University of Texas campus, in central Austin’s Hancock neighborhood, the Commodore Perry Estate offers an unforgettable urban retreat, with just a 10 minute drive to downtown Austin.
The Dining
Take your breakfast, lunch and dinner in the property’s historic mansion, or bookmark a special evening at Lutie’s Garden Restaurant. Take your pick of the Garden Nook - covered in one-of-a-kind parrot-patterned wallpaper by Pierre Frey, the intimate outdoor terrace overlooking the pool, or the vaulted solarium; enjoy a glass of Rosé and snacks by the pool, or treat yourself to some in-room dining.
Husband and wife chef duo Executive Chef Bradley Nicholson and Executive Pastry Chef Susana Querejazu have distilled their extensive experiences to create seasonal menus throughout the estate that range in fresh, healthy fare, to Texas comfort food with a twist. Featuring produce picked fresh from the estate’s own gardens and ingredients from local farmers and ranchers, the chefs take a personalized, handcrafted approach that ranges from dry-aging their own steaks to making their own soy sauce from Texas pecans.
Luties Garden Restaurant - Designed around the glamorous vibe of Lutie Perry’s lavish jazz-era soirees, diners feel as though they have walked into a 1920’s garden party. The magical space is filled with hanging plants, velvet seating, vintage glass chandeliers, romantic lighting, and of course - a food and cocktail menu you won’t soon forget.

Trovador Hat Experience - Enjoy a 2-hour private session with local hatmaker, Ryan McGrath - founder of Austin brand Trovador Hats. He will work with you to custom the size, shape, fit and design, and your finished hat will be shipped directly to your home in a custom Trovador Hat box.

Taste of Auberge: Saison at Commodore Perry November 4th & 5th, 2022 - The team from San Francisco’s two Michelin-starred Saison will lead guests in various experiences such as a fire cooking workshop and an intimate coursed dinner.
