Cadence's charity efforts in 2018

Giving back has always been a huge part of our story and we are so grateful for the way our employees, valued partners, customers, and clients came together in 2018 to raise money for the charities we chose to support this year.

Together, we were able to cast a few small stones of our own in an effort to create ripples of meaning and lasting impact for issues that matter deeply to us. Cadence contributed over $75,000 to various charitable organizations throughout the year, below are just some of the many ways we chose to give back and express our gratitude and support:

  • We continued our fight against human trafficking in partnership with ECPAT, which stands for “End Child Prostitution and Trafficking.”  Leveraging our place in the travel industry, we are doing what we can to bring awareness and education to our clients and travel partners. One of the ways we have been able to make a difference is by honoring GenerateHope, a not-for-profit organization that provides long-term housing and trauma-informed therapy, education, and vocational support to survivors of sex trafficking.  At our 2018 annual holiday charity event, we were able to raise over $20,000 once again for the organization, the second year in a row.    

  • Additional contributions to GenerateHope through our corporate gifting program also provided 572 meals to homeless children through WhyHunger.

  • Through both corporate and private donations, Cadence contributed over $2,000 to GiGi’s Playhouse San Diego, Down Syndrome Achievement Center to help give those with Down syndrome a place to call home and the tools to lead a more successful and independent life.

  • We proudly volunteered at and donated to Bridgepoint’s Annual Golf Tournament and Live Auction – an event which ultimately raised a total of over $50,000 for Rady Children’s Hospital

  • Our Business Travel team donated $500 to sponsor our client, SeaSpine at the Padres Pedal the Cause Event - raising money for cancer Research

  • Cadence donated $2,500 to the Guild Giving Foundation.

  • Cadence donated $3,600 to support victims of the California Wildfires and their families.

  • Cadence donated $5,000 to the USO at their annual Gala.

  • As part of our annual give-back initiative, each employee of Cadence is given $100 to donate to a charity of their choice, resulting in over $4,500 to various charitable organizations.
