Change Fees Are Gone!

This year has brought many changes, but here’s one we are finally excited about: Delta Air Lines, American Airlines, United Airlines, and Alaska Airlines all recently announced that they have permanently eliminated change fees for main cabin and premium cabin tickets (basic economy excluded) for travel in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and U.S. Virgin Islands, plus Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean for American and everywhere Alaska flies.

While it has been a difficult year for the airlines, carriers are responding by focusing on the customer experience and offering additional flexibility to gain customer confidence.

However, the good news doesn’t end there. American is allowing customers to keep the full value of their ticket, so if travel changes and the new flight is less than the original ticket, American will give the customer a voucher for the difference to use towards a future trip. In addition, United and American are allowing customers to fly same-day standby for free.

We are excited to see this change and we are sure our clients are too. Making travel easier and less complicated in today’s environment just makes sense!

We also love seeing that airlines continue to keep health and safety at the forefront. For instance, Delta is continuing to block middle seats through January 2021.
